Surplus Auctions Exposed: Is 95% Off Retail Price Possible?

Surplus auction websites are a new phenomenon that is quickly spreading through North America and Europe (like you have probably already seen). They are all over the internet in blogs and success stories of people who have apparently bought expensive items at very little cost. However, we were very skeptical of whether or not these surplus auction sites were real, so we decided to find out how they were done. What better way to find the truth than to conduct our own study?

I wanted to buy a new Samsung 52′ HDTV, so luckily I was put in charge of the test.

First, I did a ton of research on the subject to find out which surplus auction site was the most trustworthy and ultimately would be best suited for my test. After hours and hours of research I came to the conclusion that xBids was best because of its wide variety of products, great reputation and the low competitiveness. The way these auction sites supposedly work is that you get bids to bid against others in auctions. If you win, you get to purchase the item at a severely reduced price. xBids had a new promotion, for a limited time, they are giving out FREE bonus bids on signup. This created an ideal situation for me, giving me the bids necessary to thoroughly test the site. This promotion is to help spread the word about shopping with xBids and show people how much they can save with surplus auctions.

Wondering How xBids Can Provide Such Deals?
xBids gets their items directly from warehouse closeouts, surplus auctions, and liquidation clearance auctions. They have direct relationships with manufacturers of many popular brands including Sony, Samsung, Apple, Panasonic, Microsoft, Dell, etc. xBids is one of the few who have this direct relationship. This is how they can offer such low prices in comparison to retail outlets. Their warehouses to hold the products are huge and scattered all across America, so delivery should be relatively quick.

What Do They Put Up For Auction?
I’ve seen everything from cars to phones, computers, laptops, TVs, cameras, stereo equipment and pretty much anything you can think of. Yes, even a 2010 Honda civic!

Above image is the screenshot I took of someone winning the 2010 Honda Civic for only $694.64. That’s amazing.

My Experience with xBids
After going through a simple registration process on xBids, I got my bids and began to try and win items listed up for auction. Before registering, I was still a little confused about the whole process – but after registering everything became clear.

I began to bid on the item I was after, a 52″ Samsung LED HDTV. Surprisingly, I won after a very short period of bidding. It cost me only $165.54 total for a $1,999.95 Samsung HDTV! Yes, you read it correctly – it costed me a little over $100 dollars to win a $1,999.95 52′ Samsung HDTV!

To make sure this really wasn’t a fluke, I decided to try again to see if I could win another item – again, to my surprise I won yet again – this time the savings were bigger! I ended up spending $95.64 for a $1,199.97 MacBook Pro. I was very impressed and excited about this and I was confident it would make a good report.

Shipping – after I won the products and paid for them – I received the items in only a few days. Within a short period I had my items in hand. Simply amazing. These auctions really do work like it claims and I hope everyone who reads this report takes advantage of these auctions before more people dive in and create more competition.

My Very Simple 4 Step Method to Winning Auctions

Step 1
Signup to xBids – competition is among the lowest and they have the greatest range of products to bid on. Once you’ve signed up and paid the low entry cost to join – you’re able to bid on any auction that appeals to you.
Step 2
Start browsing for the products you want to bid on – when I was started browsing I got overly excited because of the wide variety of electronics to choose from (I love electronics). You can choose from gift cards from all major department stores to cameras and even cars! A 2011 Ford Mustang! The car auctions are very rare so when you see one – be sure to start bidding for it. Unfortuately, I didn’t know it was that uncommon.
Step 3
I decided to start bidding for the 52′ Samsung LED HDTV. Here’s the strategy that I used – I didn’t know how to bid at first so I started a bidding war with the person I’m competing with. I decided to stop bidding for it to make the person think I’ve bailed out. And at the very last 3 seconds of the auction ending, I started bidding again and I won the 52′ Samsung LED HDTV for only $165.54! This is very simple and easy strategy and I’ve since won MANY auctions doing this.
Step 4
After you have won your auction, you can claim your prize at anytime. I decided to claim it right after I’ve won. I received my items, and they were in mint condition. Packaging was very good. I will never use a regular auction site again! xBids was very quick to deliver and the product is exactly what I’ve auctioned for. I still can’t believe I received these items for such a discounted price!

What Are You Waiting For? Get Started!
Now that you know xBids can offer real savings, you should get into it before more people dive in. There are abundance of auctions to choose from now but that’s not gonna last for very long.

Overall, I had a very positive experience with xBids, which was very surprising to me. What once seemed impossible has now turned into a reality, a possibility to get 95% off retail!
